Apple doesn't want you developing hobby apps
Feb 14 2023
Apple still charges a $99 yearly developer fee, even if you don't want to publish your app on the Appstore. The provisioning certificate that Xcode provides only lasts one week.

Linux in Windows 10
Aug 27 2016
Microsoft has done something really cool in the Windows 10 Anniversary Update. They gave users the ability to use the Linux Bash Command Line from within Windows. This is not through a virtual machine nor container, but a subsystem that they previously added in an earlier Windows update. Here’s how you can enable Linux in Windows 10: What You Will Need: Windows 10 Anniversary Update How To: First, go into the start menu and search for the Windows Update Settings.

Use Android as Second Monitor
Aug 19 2016
Having more than one monitor is useful for any power user (porn on one, games on another). So it’s possible to use an android device as a secondary monitor, but I recommend actually buying one if you want an easy setup. With that said, if you have a spare Android device laying around, you can use it as another monitor in your setup. To do this, we are going to use Windows and “trick” it into thinking that you have another monitor connected and then use TeamViewer to access the “fake” monitor.

Have you ever been stuck in a situation that you needed WiFi but only had an Ethernet connection available? Unless you’re looking to connect your phone to an Ethernet connection, you would be all out of options. I found myself in a similar situation when I needed to setup a live stream using a bunch of laptops and only one Ethernet connection with no WiFi available. This is also useful if you are looking to avoid using mobile data.

Hearthstone on Chromebook
Jun 23 2016
Hearthstone is a very popular game which I coincidentally don’t play. However, I do spend quite a lot of time on my Chromebook and love seeing how far I can push its compatibility with software. Naturally, the idea of running Hearthstone on Chromebook appealed to me. After all, Counter Strike, TeamFortress and PlayStation 2 games work, so I don’t see why Hearthstone wouldn’t. If you haven’t guessed already, we are going to be using Linux to make this work.

League on Chromebook
Jun 16 2016
I have received many requests to do a video of League on Chromebook. Well, it shouldn’t be too surprising that it works. All it takes is running Windows on your Chromebook. The biggest limitation that I face was the insufficient hard drive space on my Chromebook (Acer C720). To solve that issue, I installed League to a flash drive. Of course, this had a negative effect on the game’s load time.

Save Battery Life on Android
Jun 10 2016
Every year, smartphones get better and better. We live in the age where the average smartphone has better specs than a two year old computer. Despite all of this technological innovation, battery life is still a major concern for many consumers. It’s simple, we need longer lasting batteries. Unfortunately, until there is a scientific breakthrough with battery technology, this is unlikely to change. Fortunately, there is a way that you can get the most out of your battery.

Hack Android Apps and Games
Jun 03 2016
Wouldn’t it be great if every game had cheat codes? Well, this might be closer than you think. Using the app Game Guardian, we can change the value of any numerical data within Android games. Yes, you can now achieve an unbeatable high score in your favorite game. To do this you will need to have a rooted Android device. The process for this is fairly simple. We need to find the location of the desired attribute then change its value.

Run Windows 7 on Android
May 15 2016
I can’t believe I’m saying it, but you can run Windows 7 on your Android device. To be honest, I was convinced that running Windows XP on Android would be the final step in Windows emulation, but I was wrong. Before you get too excited about playing the latest AAA title on your phone, keep in mind that this is nothing further than a proof of concept. The performance is painfully sluggish and the app might crash if Windows starts using too much memory.

Counter Strike on Android
Apr 17 2016
How would you like to play one of the most popular PC games of all time on your Android device? So, maybe playing Half-Life 2 and Team-Fortress classic on Android isn’t cool enough for you. Well, how about Counter Strike on Android? Of course, this isn’t going to be the latest Counter Strike Global Offensive with the Source Engine. It’s going to be the old school original counter strike from the late 90s.
