Windows 10 on Chromebook

Yes, you can run Windows 10 on a Chromebook! Now this should not come as too much of a surprise because Chromebooks are pretty much low powered laptops with Chrome OS installed. In addition, Windows 10 is designed to work with devices with lower end specifications. Overall, the performance was fluid. Between browsing through the start menu and opening up Internet Explorer, I did not encounter any issues.

There are some technical things to mention. First off, since my Chromebook (Acer C720) only has 16GB of storage, installing this completely erased Chrome OS. Don’t worry, there’s an easy way to get it back. Also, after installing Windows 10 to a bootable USB, I had to make sure the Chromebook was connected to a power source so that it can read the other USB hubs. And speaking of which, you will need a USB hub to get things operational. The keyboard, touch pad and speakers do not currently have any driver support.
